Joan was such a wonderful friend to so many of us and she was always finding ways to weave us together. She was passionate about living life to its fullest- especially the joys of travel, family and friendship. Tim and Katy, you gave her so many moments of happiness. Dear Tim and Katy I want to let you both know how truly special Joan was in my life and the lives of so many others. What started at the Federal Council as an employer/employee relationship soon turned into one of mentor/mentee and then an all important friendship. Joan had a heart of gold and an endless amount of love for all her friends. Each and every one of us felt so very special to be a part of her life. While I knew that time with Joan was precious, I selfishly prayed that we would have just a few more months or years to share stories over dinner, spend the annual weekend in the County and laugh over everything and nothing. Tim and Katy, please accept my deepest sympathies. I will miss her deeply and the sparkle she brought to all of our lives. Monika

To Joan's family. Please accept our sincere sympathy with Joan's passing. Both my wife, Patricia Wickson, and I both knew and worked with Joan in our days at Ontario Hydro. Needless to say that we found her to be a caring individual whose professional competencies were well recognized and appreciated. We know that the last few years have been difficult for her. She and Mike are probably having a great party right now.
