Butler Family, I was deeply saddened to hear of Andrew's passing. Andrew and I were in touch on and off over the years, most recently through social media, but we lost touch with each other when he left social media. For some reason I had been thinking about Andrew the past few days and decided to do a search for him only to discover his obituary. I had been hoping to reconnect. Please accept my deepest condolences. Andrew was a dear friend who was always generous and giving. At the same time, he would challenge me, calling me out on things. He always kept me honest and he made me a better man. He taught me a lot. The last time we spent much time together was about 15 years ago when I was at U of T. He was a huge support to me through that time; especially when my wife was ill. He always seemed to know when I needed someone to talk to and he would make the trip downtown to see me without hesitation. I will miss him very much. Sincerely, Rick Gruchy
