To the Gooch Family: I'm very sorry to read of the loss of your loved one. During times like these it's all to easy to feel helpless and without hope. When my family and I experience tragedy of this sort we often turn to the scriptures for endurance. Isaiah 25:8 and Revelation 21:4 speaks of a time when death will be a thing of the past and our loved ones will be reunited with us. Continue to beg God for endurance until that time comes.

Kathy and I met when she came to work in the Newsroom at CKSO RADIO and TV in Sudbury. She was a breath of fresh air that was welcome. She and I became "buds" in that male-dominated environment and we sure livened up the place! She sweet, kind, happy and caring both for those who she worked with and all those she came in contact with either through her position in News or in life in general. I know her spirit and joie de vive will be missed. Anne-Marie

My very deepest sympathies to Kathy's family and dear friends. I worked with Kathy many years ago both at CKSO and the CBC and we stayed in touch over the years. She was always full of passion and determination in regards to life, her work and her friendships. She was a joy to be with and I shall forever treasure my special times with her. We fondly remember Kathy and all the great adventures we had together volunteering for the Sudbury Snowflake Festival. She had a kind heart and a gentle soul and was always up for fun. Although in later years we didn't connect as often as we liked with work and life and distance interfering she always remained a friend. Our condolences on her passing.

Kathy was part of my Sudbury memories and early days at Queens Park where we shared office space and many many laughs. In later years we lost touch but I will always remember her generosity and kindness and our many adventures.

To Kathy's family and friends: I am so very sorry for your loss. Kathy hired me in the mid-1980s to work on the morning show at CBC Radio in Sudbury. We quickly became colleagues and "work buddies." Kathy began her relationship with us in 1987, which grew into a family relationship. She visited us every summer and was planning to retire here. All of our friends knew and loved her as well.
She will be remembered forever and sorely missed.
