Obituary of Thomas Irwin

IRWIN, Thomas Raymond Passed away suddenly on Friday, March 11, 2016 in his 78th year. Loving father of Tim (Diana Flynn) and Tony (Sheila Maher). Grandpa to Emily, Abbey and Claire Irwin. Uncle to Larry, Tim, Terry and Dan Kirlin; Jane Felling and Maureen Tucker. Loving brother of Jim Irwin. Predeceased by his parents Laurie and Evelyn Irwin and his sister Imelda Kirlin. After graduating from Leaside High School and the University of Western Ontario, Tom obtained his Chartered Accountant designation before embarking on a successful business career in Canada, the United States and Europe. Tom was a natural storyteller who enjoyed skiing at Caledon Ski Club, golfing, watching the Blue Jays and listening to jazz. In recent years he loved spending time with his grand-daughters watching them play soccer and hockey, as well as volunteering at the Run for Huntington's Disease at Wilket Creek Park. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W. MILES - NEWBIGGING CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 17th.
