Obituary of Jocelyn Fullerton
JOCELYN ANNE FULLERTON (nee Scott)
Jocelyn Anne Fullerton, 82, on Friday, March 4, 2016 at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, in Toronto. Jocelyn passed after a short and sudden illness, peacefully, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on August 30, 1933 in Toronto, Ontario, and is predeceased by her parents Dr. David A. Scott and Bertha Scott. Jocelyn grew up in Toronto. She attended Forest Hill Collegiate and went on to earn her degree at The University of Toronto. After university Jocelyn became a teacher, and loved her job teaching Physical Education. Later in life Jocelyn switched careers and became an Award Winning Real Estate Agent for Royal Lepage.
Jocelyn had an incredible energy. She was always active. A lifetime member at the Granite Club, Jocelyn loved playing tennis and badminton. She was a very committed member of the University Women's Clubs of Leaside and North Toronto and an active participant in her sorority Alpha Gamma Delta. In the last year she moved to The Briton House and enjoyed participating in events and making new friends. Jocelyn loved music, poetry, bridge and nature. She also loved watching sports. She was strong and competitive, and she was kind, loving and charitable. Her smile would light up a room.
First and foremost, Jocelyn loved her family. She dedicated herself to her childrens' wellbeing, and was always happiest surrounded by her children and grandchildren.
Jocelyn was predeceased by her husband, Carmen Gardner (Jim) Fullerton. She is survived by her loving children and their families: David Fullerton and his wife Leanne, Peter Fullerton and his wife Sarah, Kathryn Fullerton, and Edward Fullerton and his wife Mei. Jocelyn will be dearly missed by grandchildren: Zach, Max, Amy and Quinn. She is also survived by her sister Beverley Moorhead and family.
A visitation will be held at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W. MILES - NEWBIGGING CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 10th. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday, March 11th at 1:00 p.m. A reception at the Granite Club, 2350 Bayview Avenue, from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. will follow the funeral service.
