In memory of a grand lady who was a long-time member of the Granite Club Ladies Badminton Ladder. I will miss Jocelyn's generous spirit, her interesting stories and that sparkle in her eye! She was a great competitor and will be missed. To her family,... may you celebrate the woman of character that she was and may you find peace in the days to come.

Jocelyn, my Mother-in-Law, was truly a force of nature. She was strong, competitive, and sometimes put up a wall that was hard to penetrate. But Jocelyn was also kind, fun-loving and had a generous spirit. The most important part of Jocelyn's life was her family. The wellbeing of her children was her number one concern. Jocelyn always loved to spend time with David and I. She loved going to the cottage, having family meals and special occasion lunches, and watching Raptors games. She had a wonderful laugh and a brilliant smile.
In the past year I spent a lot of time with Jocelyn, helping her move into Briton House, taking her to appointments, helping her adjust to her new lifestyle, and I learned so much about this very special woman. I learned more about what motivated her, and what she cared about. I heard stories of her childhood and saw pictures of her growing up. Jocelyn became more than just my Mother-in-Law. Jocelyn became a woman I respected and admired and loved.
I'm sad because I've lost a very special person. I'm also sad because of the loss of opportunity to learn more about Jocelyn, and about the loss of opportunity for Jocelyn to enjoy her new friends and lifestyle at Briton House. And I'm sad because our family will never be completely whole again.
I will miss you Jocelyn, and I will miss our times together.
May your spirit fly free.
Love Always,
Lea xoxo

I am unable to attend the service for Jocelyn because I am not in Toronto. My sincere condolences to the Fullerton families. Jocelyn was a longtime member of our Monday night women's tennis group. She was a fierce competitor. And at our social functions always friendly, curious and interested in our various activities. May you find comfort in the memories of family and friends. I am very sad to learn of Jocelyn's passing. It had been my pleasure to know Jocelyn through CFU W Leaside East York where she was a vibrant member who welcomed me as a new member in 1986. It was always wonderful to chat with Jocelyn at meetings or out at Club events. We will miss her active mind and ongoing interest in our scholarship program and all Club events.. My sincere sympathy to all her beloved family.

Jocelyn and I became well acquainted in the 1960's through the Leaside-East York University Women's Club. Close in age, busy raising young families, we both served on the club executive in various positions, including becoming president in the mid-seventies. I had great respect for Joc's abilities, and we remained friends. On recent visits to a family member at Briton House, I would often see her sitting in the sunny atrium; she had to ask me my name, explaining that her memory was bad, after which we carried on our usual animated conversations. She will be greatly missed at "the Club". I send my sympathies to her family and her many friends.
