We too are members of the RBC family and have known Carm and Janice from the early 70s. Johns transfer to Ridgeway with Carm as manager opened up a schedule of non-stop fun. Both staff and clients responded to Carms ready smile, quick wit and outgoing personality. Back in the day parties were the norm and Carm was the central figure!
As we both moved around our friendship endured thru the years - even after we introduced chicken pox to the 2 yr. old boys as we navigated a weekend babysitting! We share many fond memories of home visits, camping, and family celebrations. All of these occasions were blessed with laughter.
Carm lived life well!
Best wishes to Janice, Kirk,Kevin and family members. Our biggest tribute to Carm is to giggle and enjoy life as much as he did!
Love and hugs
June and John Davis

Heartfelt condolences to Carmen's family. I first met Carm when he was transferred to the Paisley Branch of the Royal Bank about 1960?? He was not there for a long time but it was a good time. WE met again in the 1980's when he was manager at the College and Bathurst Branch we had lunch together and he told me a story I would like to pass on. I believe he was working at a branch in Hamilton on a Friday when he received notice to report to the branch in Paisley on Monday. Carmen said he had no idea where Paisley was or what he was getting into. On that Saturday night after his 'Farwell Party' he had an unfortunate incident with his car forcing him to take the Sunday train from Toronto to Paisley. On the train he sat across from an elderly couple who were also on their way to Paisley. They asked where he would be staying that night and Carm replied he had no idea. "Well sonny you can just stay with us." replied Mrs. Reeves. He said this was his first impression of the residents of Paisley and it just got better.

Carm, indeed, was a great & favourite uncle. A memory from my youth is he & brother Harold (my Dad), sitting in our livingroom, and cranking up the dulcid tones of Jim Reeves. Perhaps a libation would be involved, but for sure, there was much laughter.

Carmen will always be remembered as a true and dear friend. I will never forget the memories of times we spent together at the rinks, our fishing trips or tipping a cold one.
We have fond memories of times we spent together, which will never be forgotten. We send our sincere condolences to the family.
RIP our friend.

Condolences to my Sister Janice and my nephews Kirk (Donna) and Kevin (Keira)Dayna & Gillian
Carmen was more than a brother in law he was our travel buddy..We as couples saw
Alaska and Portugal with too many funnies to mention.
He loved to play cards, pool and take very quick walks! Tough to keep stride with him.Ha
My husbands dream was a fishing trip: well Carmen beamed him up: they flew into a remote
area in Ontario (lake drop) No way out until the plane came back. Well not great for the unprepared..
With much anxiety Carmen taught him to use the outhouse with rifle in hand as lots of bears.
He never forgets that trip...
We miss the Carmen you were, may you rest in peace!

Thinking of you,Jan,Kirk,Kevn and families.Carm was always up for adventure. He took a ride through the woods of Athol on the back of my dirt bike.We hit a rock in the middle of a brook! Carm became airborne until reaching the far shore where he hurriedly scratched that off his bucket list,,! Along with a few vows!(had to remount tho as we were 5 miles from home)lots of good memories no one can take!! Love,Ken and Rachel
