Gerald Bunder

Obituary of Gerald Bunder

Bunder, Gerald  (1957-2023)

Gerry passed away after a valiant struggle with Leukemia at the age of 66.  He will be deeply missed by his wife Michele Wilson, his son Shaun (Sarah), Michele’s children, Nicole and Dominique (Derek), his granddaughter Zoe, his mom Elisabeth “Liz”, his brothers Erwin & Ron, his sister Anita (Paul), his niece & nephews, Cameron, Carter and Brian.

Long time employee of Carling Propane, where he had too many friends to list.

Gerry had many passions during his life.  An avid pilot of both power planes and gliders for over 50 years.

With Michele he loved to cruise with the goal of circumnavigating the globe by ship.  He got halfway there sailing from Alaska to Russia.

That passion led to photography, after missing a photo of a Toucan in Costa Rica.  He took many pictures of the wonderful people and places in his life.

If you had a problem, he would try to help you fix it. If the part didn’t exist, he would make it himself.  There was a tool for everything.

He loved his Traeger’s and could often be found on a Friday night planning a big cook for Saturday.  The food just got a whole lot better in Heaven!

In his memory, please donate to “Make a Wish” Foundation, the Air Cadet League, or a charity of your choice.

A celebration of life will be held at a future date.
