Gordon Wahn

Obituary of Gordon Douglas Alexander Wahn

GORDON DOUGLAS ALEXANDER WAHN

April 23, 1953 – April 16, 2023

It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Gordon Wahn at his home in Toronto.  Gordon was the youngest son of the late Ian Grant Wahn and Pearl Wahn. He is predeceased bv his brother, Ian Grant Valentine Wahn.

Gord was a big-hearted, funny, sensitive, authentic, generous man who loved to make people laugh. He was a man’s man and a hopeless romantic. Gord was a true animal lover and provided a safe home and happy life to countless dogs throughout his life. He was a city guy who loved Toronto, but a Muskoka man at heart. He loved listening to rock n’ roll and drumming his fingers on the steering wheel to the beat of a good song.  The son of a Canadian politician, Gord developed a passion and interest in politics that carried on throughout his life.

Gord was authentically and wholeheartedly there for his loved ones. A loving and steadfast father to three strong-spirited daughters, he provided the greatest gift any parent could give – he believed in them.

Gord left an imprint on the soul of many people and will be forever loved and missed by his daughters Cassandra Wahn (Ted), Victoria Wahn (Johnny) and Alycia Wahn (Lamine); his grandsons Levi, Sammy, Benjamin and Jack; life friend Paddy Lavelle and long-time neighbours turned family (“the sisters” next door).

A funeral service will be held at the Humphrey Funeral Home A.W. Miles – Newbigging Chapel, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville) on Tuesday, April 25th at 1:00 p.m.  A reception will follow. Condolences may be forwarded through www.humphreymiles.com.
