Our deepest condolences for your loss. Neville was a bright light and incredibly gifted. We bought (and still live in) one of his beautiful homes - it is a legacy to his creativity and brilliance. We were also fortunate enough to get to know him over the course of a few years - he always made us laugh with his stories and dry sense of humour. We are just so sorry to hear of his passing and will plant something in our garden in honour of him this Spring. Andrea, Leslie and Nathan.

We got to know Neville through Melissa many years ago, but had not seen him for a long time. We were kept current through Melissa and Jeff during the interim though. What impressed us about Neville was his bonhomie - he had a warm and welcoming personality. He was one of the most independent-minded persons that I have met. Condolences to Mr & Mrs Hogg, Carolyn, Melissa and Jeff and Trevor.

Although I never met Neville, his joie de vivre, keen wit and openness to adventure came through in speaking with his sister Carolyn.

I had the good fortune of having Neville as a roommate in a house we rented together after university. We were both fresh out of our Western HBA program and ready to take on the world. Living with Neville was so much fun - I remember to this day the daily chuckles we would have and also the fits of gut-wrenching belly laughter - it was almost therapeutic. In addition to being always engaged in interesting conversation, Neville had Incredible wit and saw the humour in everything It's not lost on me that his service is on April Fools' Day - he would see the humour in that, I'm sure. My sincere condolences to all family and friends of Neville.

Neville (a.k.a. Lionel!!!! a.k.a. Sweetness, a.k.a. the Hoggster!), you were taken from us far too soon! I will always cherish the fun that we had, the many many laughs, and the brightness you brought to so many people. We will all miss you and I am so glad I was able to re-connect with you in Toronto after many years.

Although I have not seen Neville since our HBA days, I remember his smarts and sense of humour like it was yesterday. He kept us entertained while also sharing keen insight. I am so very sad to hear of his passing and send my condolences to the Hogg family.

I had the pleasure of being Neville’s classmate at Western Business School. The combination of his intellect, love of debate and ability to spark humour was appreciated by all of his class. We went different directions after school. I loved hearing from a common friend how rich his life was. I think his only fault may have been that he was a Habs fan;). Neville was part of a group I called “ Summer Sons”, young men , we had come to know over the years at our cottage on the Severn River. Bill and I as the seniors, often listened in the background, as laughter, stories and antics were shared by this bonded group. Neville often holding court with his wit , kept everyone engaged. Bill and I were privileged to know this young man , a man whose loyalty to his friends, overcame his own challenges to attend Bill’s funeral. A gift I will always remember. Neville will be missed incredibly.

Laughing...and wondering what is wrong with the world...and being vehemently for what is good. I will miss our long and winding conversations. And the laughs, did I mention the laughs? There is no replacing Neville and his place in my heart. I send heartfelt condolences to his family.

Neville was a fiercely loyal friend. I will miss the long conversations that could last into the wee hours. I will miss hanging out at the cottage or his place, going to see a band at a club or a hockey game. But most of all I will miss the laughs and his acerbic wit. I will always remember my last stay with Neville when we laughed so hard we cried! I will miss my friend!
