Obituary of Erica Thomson

Erica Thomson, of Toronto, Ontario, died peacefully on February 23, 2023, at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, at the age of 89, after a short illness. 

Erica was predeceased by her husband Stewart Thomson, parents Walter and Hilda Miller, and siblings Ruth Gambell and Ernest Miller.  She was the loving mother of Kathryn (Paul Myers) and Douglas (Roberta Thomson), and the proud grandmother to Erica, Rachel and Hunter. 

Erica was always active in her community, contributing her time and passion to various charitable and community causes over her lifetime. She was also an active skier and golfer (Toronto Ladies), through much of her life. 

Erica will be dearly missed, and fondly remembered by her extended family and many friends, as a woman who shared her warmth, kindness and sense of humour with all who knew her. 

A funeral service will be held for Erica at the Humphrey Funeral Home A.W. Miles – Newbigging Chapel, 1403 Bayview Avenue, on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. 

Burial to follow on Monday, March 6, 2023 at York Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to The Hospital for Sick Children or the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada.
