Obituary of Glen Heaps
On February 15th, 2023 in Toronto, Ontario, our beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away at the age of 86 at Michael Garron Hospital with family by his side. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 63 years, Lenora; children Sharon (Greg), Denise, Janice (predeceased) (Richard); and grandchildren Glen, Eric, Jada, Steven and Ethan, as well as numerous other friends and relatives.
Glen was a fun-loving, hard-working man with a strong moral compass and a big heart. He was a family man and was happiest spending time up at the cottage with his family and travelling with Lenora. He graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 1962 and ran a successful practice in Downsview for 35 years. Glen never sat idle. If he wasn’t working or travelling, he always had a renovation project in the works. In his later years, Glen loved being “Poppa” and took great pleasure in sharing stories with his grandchildren and participating in their various interests and activities. He will be very dearly missed.
The family will receive friends at the Humphrey Funeral Home A.W. Miles – Newbigging Chapel, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville) from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 11 followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel.
