Obituary of Allan Gardner

ALLAN GARDNER

July 20, 1939 – February 12, 2023

Loving brother, and best friend to Barbara-Anne Pynisky (Stephen), and Nellie Halton (Thomas).  Allan was predeceased by his brother, Austin Gardner (Frannie), and his sisters, Regina Lumsden (William) and Vivian Cleland (John).  Allan had many nieces and nephews; Andrea Moon (David), Paul Allan Pynisky, Sarah Pynisky, Sharon Kay (Nigel), David Cleland (Victoria), Patrick Cleland, Robert Lumsden (Gail) and Ian Lumsden (Laurie).  Allan’s new love is the latest addition to the family, his great-niece, Juliet Moon.  Allan had too many friends to mention.

He was selfless, kind and would do anything to help others, especially all the work he did for the Out-of-the-Cold Program.  Allan and Barbara-Anne would do the program together, being that they were so close.

Allan will be truly missed by his family and many friends.  May the angels guide him on his journey to heaven.  He suffers no more on earth and leaves behind the best of memories.

The family will receive friends at the Humphrey Funeral Home A.W. Miles – Newbigging Chapel, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville) from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. on Monday, February 20th.  A Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 21st in St. Lawrence Martyr Parish, 2210 Lawrence Avenue East, Scarborough.

If desired, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
