Obituary of Steven William Hannah

STEVEN WILLIAM HANNAH

May 1, 1963 – January 31, 2023

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Steve on January 31st at 3:49 a.m. He passed peacefully at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, surrounded by family. Steve is survived by his mother, Marie; his wife, Debbie; and children, Caitlynn (Dylan), Kevin (Rachel) and Michelle (Chris). As well, he was a proud grandpa to Alana, Haley, Hunter, Lily and Graham.

Steve was a very well-respected Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager for over 30 years with TD Private Client Group and National Bank.

Steve was a huge music and sports fan. He enjoyed attending live events, from seeing Queen in 1978 to Bright Eyes and other groups in 2022. Steve was a vendor at Exhibition Stadium as a teenager, enabling him to watch all the Jays and Argo games, as well as numerous concerts. Steve was a longtime Toronto Blue Jays partial season ticket holder. He also attended many Buffalo Bills games, Leafs games, MLB spring training games and numerous NASCAR races. Steve fulfilled a lifelong dream and attended the 2022 Super Bowl LVI in Los Angeles.

Steve was an original member of the FDL Rotisserie Baseball Pool founded in 1985. He was an active pool member and will be sadly missed by all of his current and past competitors.

Since 1985, Steve always enjoyed his summers at Bonnie Lake Resort. When Steve retired, he lived for five months of the summer and fall seasons in his second home at Bonnie Lake.

Steve lived life to the fullest. Steve will be remembered for his big welcoming, warm smile, and for being an exceptionally kind and caring person to everyone he met. Thank you to the wonderful doctors, nurses and staff at Sunnybrook.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 25th at The Leaside Pub, 190 Laird Drive, Toronto.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Lung Association or any charity of your choice.  Condolences may be forwarded through www.humphreymiles.com.
