Obituary of Zisi Fillcoff

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Zisi, peacefully on the morning of January 19, 2023.

He joins his beloved parents, Kole and Luba, sister Rosalene, and brother Peter.

Beloved husband of 59 years to Vera, and loving father to Luba (Mike), Florence (Peter), and Rosalene (Greg).  Doting Dedo to Natasha, Nicholas, Brandon, and Peter.  Brother to Tala (George dec.).

Zisi was born on August 6, 1937, in Dolno Kalinik, Macedonia.  In 1951, he left to start a new life in Canada and became a well-respected business owner. He first opened Rapid Open Kitchen in Rosedale, and after many years of hard work opened Cisco’s Coffee Shop, which he operated until his retirement. He leaves a legacy that will live on with his family and he will be sorely missed by all.

The family will receive friends at the Humphrey Funeral Home A.W. Miles – Newbigging Chapel, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville) from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 22.  The funeral service will take place in the Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 23.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation (heartandstroke.ca) would be appreciated.  Condolences may be forwarded through www.humphreymiles.com.
