Obituary of John Thomas Erwin

John loved chocolate, red wine and big band music, but most of all, he loved his family, of which he was very proud. Our beloved husband and father passed away peacefully at home on December 4th, and it is with a broken heart that we must say Adios to John.

John & Shirley were married for 66 years and he was a very thoughtful, dependable, quiet man, although he had his moments; as do we all!  John will be missed by his three daughters, Elizabeth (Henderson), Susan and Jennifer (Stubbs); his 5 grandchildren Olivia and Liam Henderson, Johnny Erwin and Vanessa & Daniel Stubbs, and his 2 great-grandchildren, Mason Colby and Ryder Stubbs with a little girl on the way in April.

John’s happy place in the summer was at our cottage in the Kawarthas, and we spent many happy winters in Mexico.

As John always said, he had a very good life and we will miss him so!

Rest in peace, my darling.

Cremation has taken place following a small family service and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
