It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Mafalda Bruni, also known as Mary. Beloved wife of the late Giovanni Bruni and cherished Mother to Anthony, loving Nonna to Matthew (Michelle), Melissa, Jordan (Melissa) and Parker.
Born in the province of Pescara, Italy, Mafalda emigrated to Canada in her late twenties, where she met and married Giovanni Bruni. She worked at Parkhurst Canada, where she managed the design and production of knitwear for over 30 years.
She will be dearly missed by her immediate family as well as her sister Emma; her brother Nino (Aida); and sister-in-law Tina, along with many loving nieces, nephews, family and friends throughout Canada, Italy and the United States. Mafalda will be welcomed with open arms by her loving husband, parents, siblings and loved ones who passed before her.
A talented accordion player, Mafalda enjoyed music and dancing, assisting with Church bazaars and visiting with family and friends. An active member of her Church, a loving mother, grandmother and wife, a faithful friend and kind neighbour. Mafalda had a joyful spirit, her strength and love for family and friends will forever live on in our hearts.
The family wishes to thank the attending staff at Villa Colombo and Sunnybrook Hospital, Toronto.

Visitation will be held at Humphrey Funeral Home, 1403 Bayview Ave., Toronto, ON - Thursday, December 8th, from 12-5pm, with Funeral Services on Friday, December 9th, at 11am. Entombment to follow the funeral at Forest Lawn Mausoleum, 4570 Yonge St., Toronto, ON.
