Obituary of Austin Felix Mask

September 21, 1948 - November 30, 2022

Austin passed away in the early hours of November 30th at Sunnybrook Hospital. After years of coping with ill health, his heart could no longer go on.

Austin is preceded by his, parents Felix and Dorothy Mask (Richardson), his sister Rosemary Fox and his brother Larry Mask. He is survived by his sister Anna Marie Mifsud and his brother- in-law Robert Mifsud who were at his side in the final days of his life. He will be dearly missed by his cousin Kathy Richardson who was a special part of his life.

He will also be missed by his numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. His greatest regret was not being able to spend more time with them. He especially missed getting together with his buddies at Leaside pub night and talking about their motorcycle days.

Austin spent most of his "formative years" in Leaside and returned to Leacrest Road for the last 30 years of his life.

A gathering of family and friends will take place at Humphrey Funeral Home A.W. Miles – Newbigging Chapel, 1403 Bayview Avenue (at Davisville) on Wednesday, December 7th at 10:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. (reception to follow). Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery, 305 Erskine Avenue, Toronto at 1:30 p.m. for those who wish to attend. In lieu of flowers the family have requested donations be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada (www.heartandstroke.ca) or the Canadian Lung Association (www.lung.ca).
