Leanne and family : I am so sorry to learn of your loss and a loss for all who knew Neil. I think I was Neil's first supervisor at Scotia and I remember those days fondly. Neil was special. Although he was just starting his career he was already demonstrating his creativity ,thoughtfulness , integrity ,humanity and humour. We became friends ,tennis partners and he was just struggling to learn golf at that time. We were also poker buddies . My children remember him showing up at one of those early poker games dressed as Superman ,and that's what they called him after that. Neil would start to sweat as the tension rose over the $10 and $20 bets -we didn't know then that he's be making bigger bets in the future.
I've taken a vicarious pride in following Neil's career since then and delighted to know that such a wonderful human being could carry his personal qualities to a stellar career . Your profound loss will be shared by all who knew him . John Eby
