A name from your distant past. I read your tribute to your Mother and know that it was beautifully done, reflecting so well her qualities.
To me your Mother was one of the most elegant, attractive , stylish and graceful people in Brantford or anywhere for that matter.
I have many memories of her. When very young I visited 152 Brant Ave for dinner with my Mother and father. We played if memory serves me with a doll house in the back yard. When we arrived that evening your Dad was waiting in the living room wearing a crisp white dress shirt. That impressed me at the time.
The second visit was years later. As kids we gathered around the piano to sing , as organized by your mother.
Another time your Mother and my Mother with me tagging along walked the front gardens at my Grandmothers home on Ava Rd. You are right your mother appreciated gardens.
Your Mother too asked if I would drive her Mother back to her condo in St Catharines. On our way she showed me where she had lived there. Both she and the home were lovely.
The last time I spoke with your Mother was at The Hamilton Golf and Country Club. Although older believe me her qualities shone through.
A true lady to the end. I hope you and your respective families are well.
