Obituary of Agnes "Dorothy" Rose

 

God’s Choir has a new Angel.

 

Dorothy passed away peacefully, on October 28, 2022, at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Veterans Centre, at the age of 100.

 

Predeceased by her longtime partner, Bob Cruickshank and her son, Robert (Iris), she leaves behind her daughter, Patricia (David), sons, James (Louise) and Michael (Maggie), daughter-in-law, Dawn, grandchildren, Nicole, Katelijne, Patricia, Jonathan (deceased), Mary, and Michael, great-grandchildren, Coen, Bastiann and Darby, Michelle, Madison, and Flynn and numerous nieces and nephews. A special thanks to her niece, Marina, who was Dorothy’s constant support.

 

Dorothy’s love of singing began when she sang for the troops during WWII, and she continued sharing this passion with her Jazz bands and surrounded by friends every weekend.

 

Her family appreciates the compassionate care provided by Dr. Robyn Moxley and the nursing staff of Sunnybrook Health Sciences Veterans Centre.

 

A Funeral Mass will be held on November 14, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Monica’s Catholic Church, 44 Broadway Avenue, Toronto M4P 1T4.

 

A Celebration of Life will be held in Kingston, Ontario at a date to be determined.
