The Nobbs family were very saddened to hear of the passing of Sherry Stewart. As with countless young people and so many aspiring teachers over the years, she was a caring mentor and friend to both of us (Patrick and Lee). She had a strong influence on each of us in our educational careers, and her infinite kindness, thoughtful guidance, and quiet confidence afforded to us always will mean a great deal. We met and married while working at The Rosedale Day School and so Sherry and the School have had an enormous impact on our and our family's lives. Fondest memories that have stayed with us over the years include a surprise housewarming dinner shared with Sherry, John and others at our first apartment together (impromptu, where they had thoughtfully brought the food :), Christmas gatherings and other festive events hosted at the Stewarts' home, and later RDS, over the years, which contributed to a sense of family at the School. Gifts given to each of us by Sherry and John remain with us as cherished mementos. Sherry will be remembered as a truly resilient, dedicated and inspiring woman with an unfailing sense of integrity, and as the ultimate Class Act. She was a true visionary in the field of Education and we have always greatly admired her and all she accomplished in founding and growing The Rosedale Day School into that which will provide an enduring legacy to shape generations to come. She will forever have a special place in our hearts and minds, and we wish to express our deepest condolences to her family as you celebrate her amazing and inspiring life.
