Obituary of Anne Kathleen Cuff

 

Anne Cuff (nee Pezzack), died peacefully, with family by her side, on October 20, 2022 of complications related to lymphoma, at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.  Anne was the beloved wife of Victor (56 years), mother of Christopher, Andrew and Suzanne, dog-mother to Sammy (d), Allie (d) and Charlie and dog-grandmother to Rielly.  Anne was predeceased by her mother Helen, father John, brother Doug, daughter Laura, and in-laws Paula, Donna, Shirley, Isabelle and Ken and survived by sisters Mary and Eleanor, brother Robert and in-laws Jim and Anne, as well as many nieces and nephews.

 

Anne was an avid tennis player, runner and swimmer all her life until just a few months before her death.  She was a dedicated teacher of Phys Ed and Special Education for 35 years, mostly at Victoria Park, Monarch Park and Riverdale high schools.  She was a captain of her tennis team at Mayfair Tennis Club and organized practices for many years.  Anne will be remembered by friends including the “Phys Ed Group”, the “Indian Wells Girls” and her book club.

 

The family will receive friends at the Humphrey Funeral Home A.W. Miles – Newbigging Chapel, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville) on Thursday, October 27 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. There will also be a visitation at St. Aidan’s Anglican Church (2423 Queen Street East) on Friday, October 28 from 10:15 a.m. until the service start at 11:00 a.m. followed by a reception at the church.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation (https://thepmcf.ca/).  Condolences may be forwarded through www.humphreymiles.com.
