Although I had not seen Margaret for many years, I have such fond memories of growing up together in Granby, Quebec. I especially remember three of us friends- Margaret, Judy Wolfe and I- climbing up onto the treehouse in the Mitchell's back yard, spending happy times sharing secrets and gossip as the young will do. My heartfelt condolences go out to my longtime friend, Sue, and her family, Lou, Madison and David. I met Margaret 35 years ago when I had the pleasure and honour of teaching and coaching Sue in school. Margaret was a dear and supportive friend, with whom I enjoyed many special times. Her kindness and caring words were always paramount in our friendship. I’m so grateful for the wonderful memories I will always have of our weekend at The Briars, on Lake Simcoe. Margaret loved her times spent there and so generously invited me to share a weekend there with her in January 2013. To Sue, your mom was very special, and greatly loved. xo I hope your cherished memories of her will comfort you all during this sad time. I too, will draw on all of the happy times I spent together with her and all of our laughter-filled marathon phone calls. Margaret will be eternally loved and greatly missed. All my love, Jan Green

I met Margaret about eight years ago at Holt Renfrew where I worked as a fashion consultant. We stayed in touch after I retired four years ago and got together for lunch a couple of times . In the last two years we had only talked on the phone . I was so saddened to hear about her passing . She was a wonderful person and I will miss her . I am writing simply to express my deepest condolences to my long-time friend Sue Anderson and to her family - Lou, Madison and David Tiro. I have known Sue since my son and Madison were at daycare together when they were 2 years old. Sue is a wonderful friend who has shown me and my son great kindness over the years. My family and I are truly sorry for the loss of your mother, an important figure in anyone's life. Cherish the good memories, no one change take those away. Margaret and I met in Victoria BC when she was attending a Bridge Tournament, not that I play Bridge but we formed a wonderful relationship and enjoyed shopping and having fun every time I was in Toronto. Margaret was a good friend to have as I know she was and will continue to be rooting for all those she loves. I will miss her friendship. Sending my sincere condolences to her family.

I was so surprisd and shocked to hear of Margarets death. While I did not have contact with her for many years the Brown Family played a big role in her early years in Granby and fond memories go way back to that period....skiing to Mount Orford on a rope tow!!!, time at their cottage on Brome Lake etc....my sincere condolescences to her Family....with fondest of memories, David Brown
