Obituary of Dorothy Murray

Dorothy Murray, aged 79, died on August 5, 2022 at Michael Garron Hospital in Toronto. She was born in Lanark, Scotland to parents John (“Jock”) and Janette (“Nita”) Murray in 1943. She grew up with three brothers — Martin, John and Douglas. In her childhood, the family lived in various places around the Glasgow and Edinburgh areas. During the 1960s, Dorothy and three friends immigrated from Scotland to Canada in search of new adventures and opportunities. Dorothy spent many years in Toronto before deciding to relocate to North Vancouver in 2002. The West Coast provided a fresh start and even more adventures. In 2019, she moved back to Toronto to be able to be closer to family and friends. She will be remembered for her smile and her Scottish-born bravery.

She is survived by her son, Kevin.
