Bill was a great pal to his former Air Force buddy and my dad, Lloyd Stewart, as well as many other wonderful men who served our country in World War II as fighter pilots, primarily flying the mighty Spitfire. Many of these gentlemen, and they all were most certainly that, and their lovely wives stayed together in friendship that could only be admired. Their many get-togethers and reunions kept them as a tight group for most of the lives after the war was won. Lally and the spouses all became good friends as well. My dad often spoke of how he admired Bill (and Lally).
These were of the “greatest generation”.
We send our condolences to all the family.
