It is my blessing that I knew Horst. I was new to the investment research department at Wood Gundy in the early 80's. My specialty was the fundamental analysis of energy companies. Horst showed me his more instinctive side of technical analysis. Horst was kind and gracious. His memory will stay with me. John Ambrose

I met Horst and Laura when I served as minister at Northlea United Church. They were involved in a faith-based study group for a time and it was there that I first got to know them more personally than is possible with the usual brief exchange of words at the end of Sunday worship. Laura was a gentle soul and deeply spiritual and channeled these things through her beautiful art. Horst too was thoughtful, curious, caring and generous, always taking an interest in all that was going on around him. When I moved to Manor Road United Church, Horst and Laura moved with me. While this is never something a minister encourages, I was touched by their wish to maintain our connection. After Laura passed away, Horst continued as an active member at Manor Road United Church and served on our board of Trustees where he generously shared his wisdom on financial matters with the church. I retired from Manor Road in 2018 but maintained some contact with Horst and Rasamayi over the years. Visits with Horst were always delightful... and of course filled will stories of his life which were many and varied. His love of life, his love for his family, and his passion for his work never seemed to waver. His deep appreciation for Rasamayi's presence and care over these past several years was clearly spoken. She was truly a blessing to him as I know he was to her. I am so sorry to have missed the celebration of Horst's life, but there will always be a little place of celebration in my heart for having had the privilege of knowing this lovely gentle person. .

I had the honor working with Horst as his associate starting in 1985 at Wood Gundy up to the time I left Toronto in 1996. When I think of him I remember his caring patient nature, the laughs, his life stories, our lunch outings and above all his deep market insights. At the time I worked with him he was President of the Canadian Society of Technical Analysts (CSTA), one of the early authors of the Chartered Market Technicians (CMT) exam and a top ranked Market Analyst in Canada. He was a true professional and gentleman who strongly influenced many who crossed his path.
Even though I moved away it seems he's never left my side. So many happy memories. My mentor and “Toronto Dad”. Good bye Horst, you were a great, great man. Love Lorraine

Dear Rasamayi, Christopher, Christopher Jr. and Family:
We wish to offer our deep condolences to the Horst Mueller Family on the loss of Horst. We were so happy to have had Horst
as a part of our lives as a Brother in Law and dear friend. Always happy, always with a smile, always with something interesting to share. Horst was a true friend and dear family member..
Early on Horst, Laura, Rasamayi and Chris would visit our cottage near Tremblant in the Laurentians. Horst would bring his
French Horn and play pieces of music for the children at bedtime. The resonance of the horn would echo through the trees and fill our hearts with music.
When we lived in Hamilton I rarely missed either a Ballet, symphony concert or Shakespearean play when Horst played horn in Toronto.. We were up to date on the family's birding trips, his photography, and success in business. While Horst gave many of his gifts his life he also had a compassionate, kind, sensitive side to him which he genuinely shared with others. Horst loved his
family, and his work and loved to share who he was. All in all Horst came to earth and gave what he had to give and when
he left our fair planet he didn't leave very much on the table undone. Well done Horst.
To you; dear Horst; we wish all the very best as you continue your journey. We wish Rasamayi, Christpoher, Chris Jr. and all the grandchildren the very best for their ongoing.. And for your ongoing -Journey well, - dear Horst we'll miss you.
Blessings and much love come to you dear Horst - ,
Coco, Hans, Erica, Heidi and Rhiannon Krutzen

I first met Horst at CIBC in the late 1990's. After I left CIBC in 2000, I always kept in touch with Horst because I valued his insights into the financial markets. Horst is what some people might call a renaissance man. He was an accomplished musician, photographer, and both a student and teacher of the markets. I always admired Horst but I admired him more as the years went by and I could still see and hear the passion and enthusiasm in voice for everything he did but especially the markets. I last spoke with Horst in May of this year and he was as passionate and sharp as ever. Horst is someone I not only admired, but someone I want to emulate and I hope I am still doing it in my 90's. It was an honor and a pleasure to have known you Horst Mueller.

Dear Mueller Family,
My sincere condolences to all of you. I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Mr. Mueller. I first met Horst in 1985, when I worked at Wood Gundy, (CIBC Wood Gundy). We occasionally met for lunch in his later years when he worked in the BMO tower. We had many laughs and we joked that as the years passed, we never seemed to age. We talked about the markets, he spoke of his grandchildren, and how he loved taking pictures of them. He shared stories of his late wife's reaction when they travelled to unusual places to take pictures of unique birds. Horst was truly a gentleman and a scholar, with a beautiful soul and an uncanny sense of humor. He will be dearly missed.

It was with much sadness that we learned of the passing of our Brother-in-law. Horst was full of life and always enjoyed an interesting conversation. We had many wonderful family gatherings over the years, sharing meals through laughter and sometimes tears. There is comfort in knowing that he has been reunited with his dear wife Laura. How quickly time passes................
"Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day- unseen, unheard, yet they are near".

Horst was a fine neighbour. I fondly recall listening to Horst’s current and storied life experiences during his many New Year’s Eve quiet evening celebration events. Your walks past my home with Rasamayi will long be remembered. You always made time to chat. May God gently guide your afterlife for all of us to follow.

My deepest condolences to the Mueller family at this difficult time. Horst was a great man and a real class act.
I remember with admiration and immense gratitude the many hours he spent with me talking about the markets and explaining his charts. This started early in my career, he was always willing to take the time to teach. He truly took great joy watching others grow and succeed. The world has lost a guiding light and a brilliant mind.
Horst will be missed by his family and his legion of friends.
