I first really spoke to Peter, appropriately enough, running around with our kids and a bunch of the Howland boys at Royal St. Georges—before they created the field. After, I would often see Peter riding up or down Howland, either on his way home or on his way to work. He always waved or yelled out a hello, and sometimes he stopped to talk. Friendly, kind, always interested, I regret that besides a handful of parties on the street, these were the extent of our encounters for much of the time I knew him. It was only In the last few years that Robert and I entered into what we’d hoped would be a lasting friendship between the four of us. Nevertheless that was enough time for him to be dearly missed by us both.

Peter was my best man and Cousin but it felt more like being Brothers.
It is hard to accept that he left so early and I received condolences from Family and Friends in Germany: Aunt Barbara, Cousine Martina and Aunt Herlinde, Cousin Alexander, Cousine Ulrike, Florian Scheibeck, Florian Schmitt, Jens and Silke, Heinz and Birgit, Berthold, Paul, Michael, Kai, Inge and Michaela.
All agreed that Peter was a remarkable Person and we will miss him and his positive attitude.

We are deeply shocked by the news of the death of our nephew and cousin Peter. Even over the great distance we feel very connected with Cathrine, Pierre and Bianca.
We remember with pleasure the time when Peter played icehockey in Mannheim and we met quite often. Our sister Anne, his mother, would have been very proud of Peter's life.
In sincere sympathy, our thoughts are with you, Cathrine, Pierre, Bianca and especially with Peter.

Peter was one of the kindest gentlemen you would ever know. We had the pleasure of spending many hours at the hockey rink with him as we watched our children play hockey. PC certainly is a chip off the old block in many wonderful ways. We are very sorry for your loss and will pray for the family.

We remember Peter so well from the winters he’s spent skiing here in Montafon. One of the first ones in the morning on the slopes he truly became like a local over the years. He was such a kind and humble person, always with a smile on his face. Peters legacy is sure to live on through the many lives he touched. For past twenty years that we worked together, no matter how busy I might have been, it was always a pleasure to see Peter's name appear on my telephone. Whether I was helping his clients with their sales tax issues, providing advice relating to his home renovations or other personal matters or getting travel tips for cottaging in Quebec, it always put a smile on my face to be working together or just chatting. He was a consummate professional; always a calming presence, always a gentleman, and always correct. I am deeply saddened that I will no longer benefit from getting to spend time with him, but more so for his close friends and family who have lost so much - my deepest condolences to you.

Have played men’s hockey with Ash for over 30 years and as we would all say, ‘he’s one of the good guys.’ He started bringing PC out a few years ago and watching the two of them play together was just great. While his legs may have slowed down through the years, his puck sense remained and he could snipe the top corner like no one else -
