My heartfelt condolences to all of the family. I am thinking of Charlotte (Wellings) whom I taught many years ago in Grade three. She invited her grandfather, Reverend Endicott, to our classroom - Charlotte just knew that he could enrich our ‘pioneer unit of study’ by recounting his boyhood experiences growing up on a farm. That, he did! He enraptured his young audience with wonderfully heart warming tales. I will always remember his rich descriptions of both hardships, laughter and lessons learned. His warmth stood out to me as he answered endless questions and made each student feel that they had asked something really special.
Charlotte and all the Wellings family, please know that I am thinking of you and your dear grandmother and I send my sincere sympathies.
