Obituary of David Keeling
David was born April 14, 1942 in London, England, and died April 28, 2022 in Toronto. He was predeceased by his wife, Julia (nee Woodrow), and is survived by their four children, Simon (Miche), Jeremy (Melanee), Nicholas (Tracey) and Rachel (Steven): and eight grandchildren, Nyah, Cora (Simon), Willow, Archer (Jeremy), Alessia, Mila (Nicholas), Rosalyn and Phoebe (Rachel).
David was a graduate of the University of Cambridge, St. John’s College. He immigrated to Canada in 1967 where he began a 42-year career as an administrator at the University of Toronto.
The family will receive friends at the Humphrey Funeral Home A.W. Miles – Newbigging Chapel, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville) from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., Saturday, May 14th. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Sunday, May 15th, at Victoria College Chapel, 91 Charles Street West, followed by a reception. Masks required.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to “The David Keeling International Award” at Victoria College in the University of Toronto, or The University of Toronto Faculty of Music. Condolences may be forwarded through www.humphreymiles.com.
