Ahhh Sandra……sooo very sorry to hear. I loved you on Cityline and watched you always. Well done Sandra, you inspired many, you were loved by many, and that smile of yours, even though we never met you, was always lovely to watch.

Sincere condolences to all of you. I only knew of Ms. Pittana from CityLine, however, this struck me deeply. You see, my partner passed away last year on April 23 from prostate cancer at the age of 67. He, too, chose the date in order to to die with dignity. He, too, was an avid golfer and lived his life to the fullest. Both taken way too young. May your wonderful memories of Sandra give you peace.

I am at a loss for words! Only a few short weeks ago I mentioned her name as wondering where she was and no longer on Cityline and figured maybe Covid changed the lineup of guests. I am really a nobody but have a beautiful photo of her with my daughter and I after a taping of the Cityline show on 2006! I loved her so much her fashion, her charisma and her beauty! I am so sorry for the loss of your beautiful wife, mom, grandma and sister! She was truly an inspiration to many Canadian and world wide women! May you fly with the angels sweet lady!
Condolences to your family and friends,
Dana Hillier

I was a huge fan of Sandra's as a little girl. I thought she was so gorgeous and I loved her style! I even went to a taping of cityline to see her on a Friday. So sad to hear of her passing. It sounds like she lived a full, beautiful life. God bless her and her family. May she watch and protect you all from above.

I had the pleasure of meeting and working with Sandra at Hazelton Lanes in the early '80s.
She had a wonderful outgoing attitude and obviously loved her chosen career.
Our paths crossed occasionally until the early '90s when I left the retail industry.
To Michael and all members of Sandra's family, I offer my sincere condolences, she was a lovely lady.

Dear Michael.
I am so saddened to learn of Sandy's passing. I remember how warmly you and Sandy welcomed me to the V&A family when Allan and I married. The two of you were so sophisticated and glamorous. And although I was just a kid (or felt like one at the time), Sandy always made me feel equal and important. I still have her oatmeal cookie recipe that she brought when we had you and the Brauns for dinner – beautifully wrapped and presented, of course – which became a family favourite. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

My husband and I randomly met up with Sandra at the first year of a Christmas show in Toronto. She had come out of the room where a festive dinner was going to be held later that day. She was so excited. Cmon in here, Isn't it gorgeous? She didn't know us. She was just a lovely sweet woman. I've never forgotten that.

Sending my heartfelt condolences.
I first met Sandra when I was working at Holt Renfrew , circa 1998/1999. We shared many laughs while working to the floor looking for beautiful and fantastic pieces of fashion- some were the best basics, others were the “Wow, I need to have this!”
Over the years we’d see each other at various places and events. The last time we saw each other was at Elte. She was always affable and energetic and truly loved to know what I was up to as I was about her.
May you cherish and hold all your memories of her close to your heart as I will do of my memories, of the one and only fabulous Sandra.

Micheal, Linda, and family,
Such sad news. Sandy was beyond the realm of the normal...so gorgeous, stylish, effervescent, positive. One could go on. First time I saw her she was just returning from Eaton's Paris office. Wearing an Yves St Laurent blazer, tall and stunning. maybe 21. I was in awe. We became friends.
Years later, after life has altered us all, I am still in awe though heartbroken.
Please accept my condolences

Count me among the many whose day was given a boost whenever Sandra appeared on Cityline. Her energy, her style, her way of making fashion understandable and accessible.... My condolences to those who loved her and now must find their way through this loss.

Michael, Daphne and Lauryn it is with great shock and sadness reading the obituary of Sandy’s in today’s Globe & Mail.
Sandy was the most colourful and loyal person that anyone could have the pleasure of meeting and she loved and lived for all of you.
Our friendship dates back to Branksome days where the girls were at school and I have some of the fondest memories meeting and knowing Sandy Pittana who will I know be terribly missed by you all. Please accept our sincere condolences. My heart is so full for you. Merle Kerr& family

Michael - I was so saddened to hear of Sandy's passing. As you may remember, she was Fashion Editor, I was Health and Beauty Editor at Flare. We were a team! Sandy styled my beauty shots and I wrote her fashion copy. I was a journalist, not a visual thinker, and Sandy taught me so much about how to create arresting images - but I could never match her wit, charm and style! Ankle socks and sky-high heels . . . who knew? Over the years, our paths continued to cross and I so enjoyed reconnecting with her.
Sandy was so kind, so generous and thoughtful - and just so full of life and positive energy. You, the girls and the grandbabies are in my thoughts and prayers.

for Michael. I am tagging onto Charlotte Empey's post because I couldn't figure out how to make my own. However I also worked with Sandra back in the late 70s. She had true Joie de Vivre. I have relished my friendship with her for this many years. Every time I saw Sandra it was delightful. Her smile radiates her generous and wonderful soul. She was truly one of a kind.
Am thinking of you Michael and the suffering of your loss. Please know that I understand the deep grief of losing your partner and my thoughts are with you and your family. I loved Sandra! and you two made a wonderful couple. Sending love and hope in spirit that you will one day bye re-united.
