Ron was a terrific person. He was wonderful with people. He had a discerning analytical mindI
I got to know Ron in the early ‘80s first as a friend and then as a business associate then as a neighbour and finally as business partner. Ron was instrumental in helping us place the shares we had bought to gain control of Toromont. He then came on our Board and also became actively involved with various aspects of our business that needed attention. Ron was with us on that Friday night in August of 1993 when we walked into the first Caterpillar dealership that we bought, a major milestone for our company.
Ron’s advice and support over the many years that we were together was instrumental to our success.
Unfortunately he never did anything for my golf game. His languid swing always produced excellent results And I could never duplicate it.
He was a good person who will be missed
