Elizabeth, family, friends and colleagues. My heart felt condolences on the passing of Joan. I will remember her always in her role as the thoughtful, tireless and persuasive leader of the Sheridan Board of Governors. I greatly appreciated her support of me and my team during the early years of my presidency at our beloved institution. She spoke to me often of her regard and admiration for her extraordinary daughter. Joan's dedication as a mother and love for Elizabeth was evident to all. I share in your loss.
