Obituary of Ann Elizabeth Keller

 

 

Ann Keller passed away on February 24, 2022.  Born March 27, 1932, daughter of the late Reginald Lyle Keller and Irene Paxton Keller.  Loved best friend of Jim Harper, sister of Richard Keller (Marilyn), aunt of Katherine Elizabeth Powell and Karen Ann Losch.  Godmother of Sarah Matthews Ratz and Pamela Elgie Kinney and great aunt of Courtney Losch, Christopher Losch and Andrew Powell.

 

A graduate of the University of Western Ontario in 1953 where she was a member of the Pi Beta Phi Fraternity.  She received her Bachelor of Library Science Degree from the University of Toronto in 1954 and worked as a children’s librarian in the Chatham, Kitchener and Sudbury Public Libraries retiring in 1993 as Coordinator of Children’s Services for the North York Public Library System.

 

She was an active member of Metropolitan United Church.  Her interests included reading, especially children’s literature, travel, the symphony and opera.  She loved spending time with Jim, her family and her friends. 

 

Thank you to Jim and to all the wonderful staff care at the Dunfield Retirement Residence where she lived, the Temmy Latner Centre for Palliative Care; the personal care of Marjorie Sibonga, to her family and Doctor Bernice Snider who took such good care of her.

 

A private family service will be held in Toronto followed by interment in Chatham, ON.  A celebration of Ann’s life will be held at a later date.
