Obituary of Beverley Dawn Raino
BEVERLEY “BEV”
DAWN RAINO
(née ROSS)
It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden but peaceful passing of our beautiful, kind, thoughtful and loving mom, grandma, friend and cousin, on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at her home in Toronto. Daughter of the late Catherine Mary (née Robertson) and the late Donald Alexander Ross, RCAF, the absolute best mom to Jennifer McLaughlin (Brian) and Kyle Raino (Janine). Much loved Nammy to Jordan, Declan, Braedan, Keira, Charlotte, Jack, and Thompson. Dearest friend of Cynthia McNabb and so many others from her various groups and teaching days, and special cousin to the Rosses and Robertsons.
Always with a smile on her face, lipstick on her lips and a song in her voice and heart, she was ready to toast to old traditions and create new ones. If she wasn’t travelling, playing bridge, visiting relatives, having lunch with old or new friends, meeting with her CFUW group, attending a birthday, graduation, play, grandkid’s sporting event, going to the theatre, researching her ancestry, taking an educational course, an exercise class, or going for a walk with her BFF, you could find her at her beloved cottage on Georgian Bay, greeting all those she saw on the beach, setting a beautiful table to dine at, swimming as soon and as late in the year as she could possibly handle, and appreciating every sunset.
To all who knew her, she was strong, smart, independent and able, and sweet and lovely. She had a lifelong love of all things French (especially Paris), and her devotion to those she loved, to her Scottish heritage, and to caring for others was what made her life complete.
May her memory live on in the hearts of all those whose lives she touched and made better. She will be so deeply missed.
A funeral service will take place on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at the Humphrey Funeral Home - A.W.
