Obituary of Lydia Christina Hoffschulte
Lydia was born January 5, 1924 in Nuremberg, Germany and passed away in her 99th year, on February 1, 2022 at The Millwood Retirement Residence, Toronto, Ontario. She was the beloved wife of the late Klaus Hoffschulte and the mother of Ingo (Gisela) and Ingrid (James). She will be fondly remembered by her family, friends and neighbours.
Lydia was intelligent, personable and had a sense of humour. She loved opera and marveled at the extraordinary use of music to convey an entire story/plot. Her insight ranged from composers, to conductors, to her favourite principal singers. Lydia was a great conversationalist and enjoyed discussing the topical issues of the day. She loved animals and many pets found a happy home with Lydia and Klaus.
A special thank-you to the dedicated, friendly and caring staff at The Millwood Retirement Residence. A private celebration of Lydia’s life will be held at the Humphrey Funeral Home A.W. Miles – Newbigging Chapel on Sunday, July 3, 2022 at 1:00 p.m.. Donations may be made in her memory to your local animal shelter. Condolences may be forwarded through www.humphreymiles.com.
