Marzena was a very warm and generous friend. A group of us used to have a Friday night movie club. Marzena was always enthusiastic and supportive, often hosting at her house where all the kids played together running around in the neighbourhood. We had great discussions and happy times! She made things happen with her boundless energy!

How very saddened I was to hear about Marzena's passing. I met her when she and I taught the same business writing course at Centennial. Her sharp mind and her dedication to her students were impressive. Most of all, I remember her warm smile and the friendly and interesting conversations we had. I am very saddened by Marzena's passing. She was a great colleague in the Department of Linguistics and Languages at McMaster, a dedicated teacher of Spanish language and culture, and simply a lovely and generous friend. We visited together Professor Śmieja, a Polish Professor of Spanish from Western. He passed away just a couple of years ago and I can imagine Him and Marzena continuing their lively discussions about Spanish literature and Polish poetry. I will miss Marzena's positivity and generosity. My deepest condolences. Magda Stroinska

May always championed for the neighbours in need that we serve through the Holy Name Conference of Saint Vincent de Paul. She always looked out for an opportunity to aid the community we live in.
