Dear Colleen, Oliver & Liam:
It still does not seem to be real that we lost dear Wilton.
Through the many years that we were colleagues at Barrick, we shared many lunches, golf games, travel for work and pleasure. Wilton was so full of life and filled any room with his presence. I speak for many that worked with Wilton during his Barrick days - we will forever miss Wilton!
Please know that you have an army of supporters!
My prayers and condolences to you and your family.
Rishi.

I'd known Wilton a bit more than 3 years, and had the privilege of working closely with him as he built out the Supply Chain Infrastructure and Procurement Governance for Enwave Energy Corp. One thing that you'll hear consistently from everyone was Wilton's love of his family. In the office we could all see Wilton visibly beam with pride when talking about Oliver and Liam, or when he shared with us all the preparations Colleen would organize for family get togethers.
Wilton was brought into the organization ready to shift perspectives and be the irresistible force matched against the seemingly immovable corporate inertia. Anyone who knew Wilton, knows that the "immovable corporate inertia" never stood a chance. Wilton could be a force of nature, and often was.
I offer my most sincere, and deepest condolences to WIlton's family. No words that I, or anyone else, can offer will in any meaningful way lessen this sharp, painful loss. Please know that my prayers are with all of you, and that I along with everyone who knew Wilton share in your sorrow and profound sense of loss.

Wilton Woo
7 years ago I was paired with Wilton for a round at Granite. I think we have played golf every weekend since. While we enjoyed the golf, the 4 hrs we spent walking and talking about everything under the sun was what I remember most.
Our friendship revolved around a large amount of ribbing with respect to our golf game, clothing, food, Montreal vs anywhere and Korean culture vs my background. People who joined our foursome would often ask if we even liked each other. All good natured ribbing where we never missed an opportunity to provide commentary and keep each other’s ego In check.
Wilton loved cigars. His weekend texts usually included a note to make sure I brought cigars. I always did and we enjoyed a lot of great cigars during our weekend rounds.
Wilton loved hunting for golf balls. Losing a Pro V1 is a lot less stressful when it was bought by someone else. His happiest day may have been our pre-season walk this spring where he found enough balls to get him through the season.
The best shot I ever saw Wilton hit was on 16 a few years ago. Wilton was doing some lumberjack work down the right side. We had lost track of him and were standing on the green when he dunked one from the middle of the forest. Wilton had no idea what happened and when we told him, he calmly reached down, picked his ball out of the hole and said, “4 for three, my hole”. He would always like to remind me of the possibility of pulling it off again in our matches.

Then there is the story he told us that Colleen had asked him why he wasn’t gaining weight. He was confused and then she clarified that she noticed he had been billed for two breakfasts at the granite club nearly every Saturday and Sunday for the past three months. Wilton was losing more than his share of matches for breakfast that summer.
Our last round together in October was an amazing day and we had a great match with Wilton surging to a lead and I somehow managed to take the last two holes to half the match. We had big money on the game. Wilton insisted I pay up as my handicap was .1 lower than his that day. I bought the sandwich from Popeyes; our usual Bet since Colleen had banned his breakfast bet.
I have many acquaintances but only a few good friends. I am proud to count Wilton as one of them and I will miss him dearly.

My sincere condolences to all of Wilton's family and friends. Watching the ceremony on livestream just now, it's clear that he was loved by many and there were many touching stories told.
I had the pleasure of working with Wilton at both Kinross and Enwave. He was a consummate professional and highly skilled negotiator - but I also enjoyed his company as we spent a lot of time working together over those years.
When we were at Kinross, I was working in abroad in a remote region and was put in charge of supply chain, despite having no experience in that area. Wilton came over from the head office in Toronto to help me get things figured out and, despite his tough reputation, he was extremely generous and patient with me as he taught me so much.
I had the pleasure of working with Wilton again at Enwave where he headed up the newly created supply chain "department" (ok - it was a department of one but Wilton had the energy of a whole department!). Enwave had gone through a period of rapid growth and needed to quickly mature the supply chain function before embarking on a billion dollar development program. Wilton took the time to get to know the team and demonstrate to everyone the value of what he does. And he did win everyone over and added tremendous value but also was a great colleague who was well liked by all.
I feel lucky to have known Wilton. He will be greatly missed.

I am so sorry to hear of Wilton’s passing. I had the sincere pleasure of getting to know him in my position as a key supplier to Enwave. I am certain that the professional Wilton that I had the privilege of working with was an even more thoughtful, kind and respectful husband, father, brother and friend. May he now rest in peace in the arms of God.

Colleen, Oliver, and Liam:
My deepest condolences for all of you.
Wilton and I shared so many hours together while he was at EA.
Wilton's first words to me weren't "hello" or "nice to meet you", they were "how come you have so many boxes of things sent to you?". He had just started as the purchaser at EA and was wondering why a guy he'd never met received so many orders of hardware. From that initial meet, we would go on to share countless coffees, lunches, and dinners. We developed a really strong friendship and our bond just strengthened with each meal we shared as we would talk for hours about a thousand different topics.
Wilton had a thirst for knowledge and to better himself in every way. We shared a love of golf (him more than me) and would argue for hours like brothers. I admired his work ethic and abilities but most of all, I admired his trustworthiness and integrity. He was absolutely a man of honour and held high values, both for himself and for others. I could always count on him for support and to have my back in all instances. He was the guy I'd call if I ever needed anything at any hour of the day.
Like brothers, we'd also tease each other as much as possible. Over 20 years ago, our friend, Al, realized that Wilton did not own his domain name (wiltonwoo.com). So, of course, we bought it and started posting photoshops of his face on a variety of movie and TV characters. We'd get so many laughs every time he asked us to take it down ... and then we'd add a new photoshop. When he left EA, we would know every time he was interviewing for a new job because invariably, the company he was interviewing with would look up his name and wiltonwoo.com would be the first site that popped up. He would then have to explain himself to the interviewers. Then, he'd call us again (laughing) asking us to take down the site. I'm glad we never listened and the site is still up if anyone wants to laugh with him. We'll now keep it up as a tribute to him.
I was extremely proud to be included in his wedding party and was sad to see him and Colleen move to Ontario but loved seeing him continue to excel in life, family, fatherhood, and career.
I'll miss my friend. I'll miss the laughter and smiles he brought into my life but I know we'll always be connected by our friendship.
Tony

Colleen, Oliver, and Liam:
My sincere condolences for your loss.
I knew Wilton as a golfing buddy at Granite Golf.
Wilton was a breath of fresh air bringing enthusiasm and spirit to our rounds together. He and I played friendly rounds, sometimes with breakfast on the line, other times just for fun. But the common theme was fun. He was always there to share a joke, poke fun, or simply do what he could to make the golf experience more enjoyable for everyone in the group.
He and I competed against each other in various events. He was a determined competitor who won his share with key shots at crucial times to secure a lead. What I remember about Wilton was his unwillingness to throw in the towel. One match in particular I remember involved him struggling on the front nine. While he expressed frustration at letting his partner down (it was a team event), he kept at his game. Then he found something on the back nine and I witnessed laser like shots zeroing in on pin after pin. Regardless of the outcome, Wilton was always gracious by finding and sharing something positive about the match...the sign of a true gentlemen.
But my ever lasting memory of Wilton will be my observations from afar. Watching Wilton greet his family when they came up to the course after a morning round and seeing the light brighten in Wilton's face when he saw and played with his kids. He seemed to be in such a comfortable place with his family at his side at the golf course.
I will miss Wilton. I will miss his jokes. I will miss his banter. I will miss his kindness and care. And I will miss yelling "WILTON" when he crushed yet another drive down the middle of the fairway.

Our deepest condolence to Colleen, Oliver & Liam for your loss. Wilton would always let us know what he would be doing with Oliver and Liam in the afternoon after our usual round of golf on a Saturday morning. His family meant more to him than anything else. We will miss all of his wisdoms that he was so willing to share, but most of all we will miss him dearly. God Bless you Colleen, Oliver, Liam,
Best, Pauline and Winston

Diane and I were fortunate to have had the opportunity to play golf at the Granite Golf Club with Wilton. Wilton loved his golf and he was one of those rare individuals who was always happy. He was also immensely proud of his family and their accomplishments.
It is hard to believe that he is gone. He will be greatly missed.
Our heartfelt condolences to Colleen, Liam and Oliver.

There are no words that can adequately express this loss. I worked with Wilton for three years and we became friends. He would often speak to me about his boys and his face would beam with such pride. I will remember Wilton for his blunt wisdom and kind heart. To his family, I wish I could assuage the grief and pain for a loss so great. I pray that the time you shared with him will forever bring you peace and joy in the memory of a life taken far too soon.

Colleen, Liam and Oliver, I have difficulty finding words to express how sad I am at Wilton’s passing. He was the kindest, happiest guy I knew at Granite Golf. He was a gem and I will miss him. I always marveled at how easy going he was and I had great respect for the values he talked about instilling in his sons. I am choking up a bit here so I will end by extending to you my heartfelt condolences. Michael Head.

My sincerest condolences to Colleen, Oliver, Liam and the rest of Wilton's family. I'm sure this must be a very difficult situation for all of you. I received the very sad news yesterday.
I had the pleasure to work with Wilton over the past few years. Wilton was an extremely professional client who looked after his business in a diligent and fair manner. I will miss our business meetings and calls. However, what I will miss the most is his caring and fun attitude, especially on the golf course.
Rest in peace Wilton.

I will always remember the joy Uncle Wilton expressed when he was playing bingo with us during Christmas parties. He happily volunteered to be the bingo caller a few years ago and always made it so much fun for everyone. He also was the prize chooser and carefully chose our prizes to make sure we would be happy with them. Even though it seems like a simple memory it left a strong impression in my heart. Something else I will never forget is that Uncle Wilton always made sure that grandma was never feeling left out during family gatherings. He always initiated conversations with her and was genuine and caring towards her. His presence will be missed during extended family dinners and Bingo games will never be the same without his bubbly huge personality and energy. I will miss you, Uncle Wilton - rest in peace.
