Obituary of Scott White
Scott White’s courageous battle with cancer ended on Christmas Day, 2021. A lifelong adventurer, athlete, friend and devoted family man, Scott touched many people throughout his 48 years.
Scott was a rare combination of a man who had a zest for life and a firm understanding of what was important: the simplicity of living a full life with those he loved. He treasured his summers on Lake Simcoe in his youth and years later shared this love with his own family in Haliburton and Georgian Bay. He was the first to dive off the dock – without testing the temperature of the water beforehand – and was always up for an outing on the boat. He was an avid skier, traveller and recreational pilot.
Building on his passion for investing, Scott became a financial advisor, dedicated to his work and his clients – many of whom became his good friends. He left Bay Street following his cancer diagnosis and invested in a brewery that remains his legacy.
Scott’s greatest achievement was with his wife, Pam, starting their family. Being a dad was one of his favourite roles and he was so proud of each of his children.
Scott’s spirit lives on in his two boys, Owen and Sebastian, and in his daughter Avery. Son of the late Barb White, he is lovingly remembered by his father Ian and wife, Sue, as well as brother James, sister-in-law, Liz, and his nephews, Hayden and Dawson. He will forever be loved and missed by Pam – his wife, his person, his love, and partner in everything.
In light of COVID-19, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family would be grateful for any donations to the Sunnybrook Odette Cancer Centre.
