Obituary of Charlotte Ann Jones

Passed away peacefully, aged 91, with family by her side on December 20, 2021. Married to Bob (predeceased) for 52 years. Loving mother to Michael (predeceased), Andrew (Linda), Deborah, Evan (predeceased) and Neil (Samantha) and grandmother to Ana, Oliver, Miranda, Neil, Thomas, William, Veronica, and Holly. Good friend to Bill Milliken and so many others.

Ann attended the University of Toronto and spent a year at the Sorbonne in Paris continuing her language studies. She met Bob working at Confederation Life in Toronto. They were married in London, England and a lifetime of travel and adventure with family and friends ensued. She took on a successful second career as a French translator for Aetna Life and other clients. Life at Market Square Condominiums was never dull with book club, French club, continuing education courses at George Brown College, bridge games and proximity to theatre and film events. She was a lifelong learner, lover of a good scotch and a master at the daily cryptic crossword.

Always keen to hear all the family news and supportive beyond question, rarely judgemental, Ann was a mother and grandmother extraordinaire.

Her life was a tour de force and she will always be cherished by those who loved her and her sharp and witty conversation. There is always a story …. and you are going to hear every last detail.
