I was extremely saddened to learn David Murray passed away. I always enjoyed our long conversations, but most important sharing stories about our beloved pets. He always made sure Paisley had everything she needed from the best treats, to her day at the groomers. He also cherished his close and dear friends very much. David was kind, charming, intelligent, had a great sense of humour and he will be missed. You will always be remembered…it was a pleasure getting to know you.

David has been a neighbour and friend for close to 30 years. The block won't be the same without him. We will miss his smiling face as he called a greeting when walking by with his beloved Paisley, his crazy email jokes, and above all, his warmth and kindness. He always made a point of stopping by with a little treat at the holidays, or just because. It is said that good friends are hard to find and the same can be said of good neighbours. He was one of the best. Although we are deeply saddened by David's passing, we are so grateful to have known him, and to have had the privilege of his friendship. Farewell dear friend, and Godspeed. I first met David while working at York Detention Center. One always knew when David had worked a shift as the unit was clean,tidy and the kids shoes outside their door, straight, and up against the wall. He was kind, soft spoken and respectful. I followed David to Probation and worked with him for a number of years. The best advice I received from him was "Keep your head up, stick on the ice". I remember cans of chunky soup and deep brown beans! After work on occasion we would meet at the Rose and Crown with friends for a pint of beer or 2, talking travels, hockey and golf. I am sorry I cannot be there today to remember David and connect with old friends. Karen

I met David not that long ago along his usual neighborhood walking path headed to Sobeys/LCBO plaza after seeing him for sometime. He had made that stretch of McRae his regular route in the early mornings in all weather with his walker and sweet Paisley along for the stroll. He was so kind and we'd developed a friendship. I will treasure our BBQ together and joyous street festival on Randolph from this Summer. RIP Dear David.
