We got to know Tessa and her family when we arrived in Toronto in 2015. She and Mark knocked at our door to welcome us with a lovely card and offering their help. Since then we were always in contact and they helped us many times with our kids. Tessa is a loving, caring and generous soul, she irradiated love, peace and joy! Tessa will always hold a special place in my heart for bringing me to Toronto. She hired me to work at Rogers with her and we had such a fantastic time working together. We got things done and of course always had a great time, too. We kept in touch now and then over the years and I loved seeing pictures and hearing what she and Mark and the kids were up to. All my condolences to Tessa’s family and close friends who must be missing her so much. These photos were taken at my wedding February 14, 2009 when she was pregnant with Sam.

Mark, Sam, Flynn and Pippa, I had the good fortune of working on the same team as Tessa at BMO this year. Although we did not work together closely, we had a wonderful video chat to get to know one another better when she first joined the team. From that one conversation, I could tell what a great person she was, how much she loved her family, and how proud she was of her kids. I remember well how much I enjoyed hanging out with your sister and Mark on The Esplanade, drinking Stella and eating pub food when I first came to Toronto to meet your family. We met Tessa through friends, and were next door neighbours for a time before we all had kids. Tessa was always a lovely presence: helpful, kind, & fun. She exuded warmth and goodness. I had the privilege to know Tessa through coaching her son’s baseball team. She was always there watching practices and games, cheering on our team and her son. I always enjoyed talking to her and getting to know her wonderful family. Her joyful personality and contagious smile will be sadly missed.
