We are so saddened to learn of Mike's death. Mike and I and others car-pooled to UBC in the early 60s. Mike kept us all entertained with his droll sense of humour. He could always be counted on to be a solid friend. I regret that we didn't stay in touch. My wife, Maureen (Irving) says she always had a crush on Mike and I can see why. Maureen also regales me with a story of a double date with Margit when they entertained a couple of English "toffs", she calls the Duke and the Marquis, at the cabaret known as the "Roof" in the Hotel Vancouver. She sends her condolences and good wishes as well.
