We may have drifted away but the good memories linger on. Our group did a lot together on our days at Olympia and York and had built a lot of good on our activities. You shall be missed by all who are still around. May God's Light Shine Perpetually on you!

There’s no question that Sonny thrived in the building operations center at Toronto Star, First Canadian Place and Exchange Tower surrounded by hard working Filipinos who enjoyed the friendships and camaraderie. Some even became lifelong friends to this day who brightened Sonny’s last days when they visited him at Palliative Care. Sonny gave his best to O&Y who took a newcomer to Canada the break he needed in 1975.

In April 2017 Sonny and Vernie renewed their wedding vows to. celebrate their 45th Wedding Anniversary. This was a secret from all their friends and family except Sonny’s brother-in-law from Riverside CA Conrad and his family who were the only witnesses to this milestone.

Sonny had been looking for a pontoon since he lost his boat that did not survive the ferocity of a bad storm in 2018. He finally took possession of his beloved pontoon in 2019 and relished the times with Amber and Vanessa when they crossed Rice Lake to his much loved cottage on weekends. While in the hospital, he enjoyed hearing Vanessa tell him that his pontoon was winterized in preparation for winter and saw the picture of his pontoon all wrapped up. He remembered all the years he did that task and happy that ‘his baby’ continued with taking care of his pontoon.

Sonny enjoyed his visit to European cities of Nice, France to attend a nephew/s wedding, drove through Switzerland, Amsterdam, Brussels and London in the 70/s.
