Pat we have lost a shining star but the heavens are brighter above. Spending time with you was an immense pleasure with your sense of humor, baking (for all), kindness, fun and joie de vivre generously shared with everyone (even the visiting “Griswalds” from Montreal). We learned so much about life from you. And your knowledge of sports was unparalleled, Neil loved watching all of it with you and thankfully you managed some live games at the Blue Jays stadium; even if it meant you both got lost on the way home (well you managed a police escort (proudly wearing the cap) and Neil did find the car hours later. Giggles galore !! Your vase with dried flowers still sits on our window sill and your shining Christmas star always tops our tree. Your star will always shine bright Pat as you are an inspiration. Your recent years at Belmont made it easier for Neil to go there; but I think you’d better save a seat for him upstairs for the games. Condolences and love to Blake and John and all who miss Pat dearly.

Blake,
I’m deeply sorry for the loss of your mother. Pat was such a wonderful, welcoming and caring woman that always put everyone before herself. She will continue to look upon you and guide you from up above. May your memories together help you through these sad times. My sincerest condolences and love to you and the family.

My husband Larry and I were so sorry to hear of "Nana" Pat's passing. I first met her when our daughter and family moved next door to Pat on Fairfield Road. She was such a delightful neighbour. I soon learned that she was well known and loved by everyone on the street. Once when I was babysitting, I was invited in for tea and a house tour , and, she was always bringing things over for the grandkids . Such a caring lady. She looked after her home and flowerbeds with great pride. She will be missed by many.

RIP Pat. You were always Mrs Acton to the kids in the neighborhood when the Acton family lived on Ensleigh Cres. So many great childhood memories. Unfortunately I don’t have any photos from those days to share but here is a more recent one back in 2015 with my parents and Barbara Allen

We are truly sorry for your loss. Words alone cannot console a heart that has lost a mother. It was wonderful reuniting with Pat after so many years had gone by since the Bay Estee Lauder days. Because of you, Blake, she lived out a wonderful life full of adventures and surprises. Pat always had spunk! She was fun and feisty all the way! We will all miss you, Pat. Our hearts and thoughts are with you Blake and John.

Mom I’m just devastated you are not with me anymore, you were my best friend, partner in crime, we laughed together, we argued together, we travelled together, we dined out together and we renovated many homes and condos together!!!!! I’ll never forget the time we renovated your house on Fairfield Road boy did we have fun, you just loved that house. You were the absolute best mom a boy could have growing up, when I was sick you looked after me when I was down you made me laugh, when I was hungry you made me 5 star gourmet meals… Mom if you can hear me up in heaven I want to say thanks for being my mom I love you sooooooo sooooooo much, nobody will ever take that away from me, I’m not going to say goodbye I’m saying I’ll see you in in the future and get ready for a HUGE HUG AND KISS because I love you SO MUCH !!!!! and I know you know that because we’ve talked about that together…. Mom I know you know I’m going to have trouble moving forward without you but I’ll do my best but honestly mom I’m heart broken :( if the big guy upstairs would have given me a choice I would have switched places with you in a heartbeat… LOVE YOU TO THE MOON AND BACK MOM

Pat Acton was one of the nicest and sweetest people I have ever known. I wish I had had the opportunity to spend more time with this very special lady. She was my husband's aunt. I had aunts but none as kind and sweet as Pat. She will be dearly missed by those who were privileged to know her. Rest in peace, Pat, knowing that God's arms will be wrapped around you as one of his best creations. God Bless. You will be fondly remembered.
