Dear members of Georgina's family,
My wife Dale and I were saddened to learn this week of your mother's passing, although at 96, one can hardly complain about not having a good run! And she certainly did.
We only got to know Georgina briefly, for the month of March 2020, just before the Covid pandemic was declared. I had foot surgery and could not bear weight for six weeks. So Dale and I rented me an apartment to stay in at the Bradgate Arms for the month leading into St. Patrick's Day when I would be allowed to bear weight again. Who do you think was my next door neighbour? Yes, it was your mother, Georgina!
Well, she was certainly a fireball of energy at 94. I knew well of Pasquale's but she also told me lots of stories, especially of her very successful efforts to bring Luciano Pavarotti to Toronto in the 1970's. The only thing that was not perfect, was that our doors were generally unlocked so she would let herself in for a visit with me in the morning, whether I was in the chair in the bedroom, or on the other chair. Some days I heard the door open and her coming in, and would say "Hold on Georgina! Not quite ready for guests!" She also made very sure I knew when the once a week Mass was being said, with Clair (we think) playing the piano, and Georgina was, shall we say, "strongly encouraging" that I should attend.
I only met one of you, but understood her pride in her family. So it is a very happy and meaningful vignette in my life to have had the pleasure of Georgina's company and welcoming friendship to help me through those days of recovery. Pure happenstance caused our life paths to cross, and only for a brief snippet, However, in that brief sojourn, I did come to know her well enough to imagine what a great Mother she was and the loss you will be experiencing.
Dale and I hope you will take comfort and joy in her life well-lived and that happy memories will soon ease your grief.
Best
Michael Quigley and Dale Philp

End of an era.
The Morrison/Davis and Pasquale/Madott connection began in the 1920's.
Georgina and my mother, Beatrice (Beatty) Morrison Davis, were soulmates...together with Ruth (Utie) Morrison Gilbert.
There were no secrets kept amongst them. One day I would hear my mother and Georgina on the phone howling with uncontrollable laughter, and then the next day a serious conversation about shared business experiences, or family dynamics, and of course music. The TSO. Opera.
So much history....
I was blessed that Georgina kept the connection with me, after Beatty's passing. It was current. Georgina had just sent me some recent pictures of the family, (her famous notes and correspondence), and then we talked about it. She did not live in the past, but cherished the memories.with humour and thankfulness.
A lady...who made me feel I was important in her life, as she was to me.
May her memory be a blessing to us all.

Dear Clare and family,
I am thinking of you with a heavy heart. We lost our fathers on the same day in 1979, and now our mothers a year and a half apart. It doesn't get easier, I have found. May the many memories sustain you and guide you. God bless your dear mother Georgina and you all.

Condoglianze to the Madott and extended Pasquale families.
La Signora Madott made quite an impression on a young man at their first meeting in the1970s and for another forty years after.
That young man was me.
Whether helping to raise funds for Villa Colombo, organizing the visit, dinners with Luciano Pavarotti for Columbus Centre
or developing and supporting the program for blind persons The Lady was cool, calm, organized, direct, a role model and a charitable leader with her talents and infectious spirit in community building .
GRAZIE for the memories, Signora .
You made me a better person .

Dear Bertha, Anna Marie, Clare and Tony
Our condolences to you and your families in the passing of your incredible Mother.
She lived an exemplary life - devoted Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother, Grandmother and now great Grandmother.
She was so proud of each of you and your accomplishments.
Your Mother was an excellent business woman - fair, efficient, organized and punctual She worked hard for everything she achieved - and she did it with grace, dignity and compassion.
She had outstanding taste. Her bedroom was a garden of earthly delights.
She was an excellent cook. Her pasta sauce was 'liquid gold'.
Your Mother had so many physical adversities - but she never lost her sense of humor, cheerfulness or generosity of spirit.
A life well lived.
May she rest in peace.
Fondly
Julia Shiu and Paul Shoniker
