Geraldine and Family, my deepest condolences on your loss. I worked with Chris at The Permanent and later at Canada Trust. I first met Chris when I was just starting out in my career and enrolled in the Trust Officer Training program. He not only helped me to get a start but continued to support me as I worked my way up to positions with more responsibility. He had a great sense of humour and a sharp mind. He was a wonderful guy.

Harry and I send all our love from the UK. We wish we could be there with you all. Chris was a wonderful, kind and funny Uncle and Great Uncle. We enjoyed meeting him on the annual trip to the UK where we would meet at St Pancras or Heathrow Terminal 5 for a family dinner. We will miss him so much. Love to Geraldine, Justine, Jason and all the family. Emma xxx

My earliest memories include Uncle Chris (and Aunty Geri, of course! ) When I was three I knew that they lived in the Pyjamas! They visited frequently, bearing gifts and tales of exotic lands. We had exciting and enjoyable times in the magical garden in Highate and in our home as well as various restaurants, parks etc.. There was always a lot of Rugby chat and banter between Uncle Chris and his big sisters! It was nice to keep in touch by the copious number of photos he would send. It felt like our dog was a virtual friend of his hounds!
Uncle Christpher was always interested, generous and supportive and will be very sorely missed by myself and Gracie. Sending our love and condolences to you all, Aunty Geri, Jason, Justine and Steven and all the grandchildren.
Rest in peace Uncle Chris xx

I felt deep sadness at learning about Chris' passing. We were business colleagues at Canada Permanent/Canada Trust (early to late 80's) and spent much time together. He was a wonderful person whose thoughtful guidance and wit were always on display. Chris was always empathetic and understanding and guided the business with a great ability and a sound understanding of managing the people with respect and enthusiasm. While I have not seen him in many years, I remember my time with him as special. Condolences to the whole family for what is a significant loss.

Geraldine and family, I am sorry to hear of Chris’s death. I had the pleasure of working with Chris at Canada Trust for five years before the TD acquisition. I remember the many laughs we shared. But what I remember most is his integrity. I could make any decision in the best interest of CT, because I knew that Chris would do the same. He was a great boss and a lovely man.

My condolences to Chris' family. I also worked with Chris at Canada Trust and found him to be someone who added a great deal of value in what he did. I'm sorry he was obliged to struggle with cancer in recent years. It is a condition which seems to affect us all in various ways - either personally or though family. Now he is at peace.
