Dearest Esther, You were always exceptionally kind to me in Toronto and in Florida. Your joyful parties, dinners, and charitable events made you a role model to me for how to enjoy life at any age. You took me to the McMichael fundraisers, hosted dinners to introduce me to your friends and even steered me towards my book deal with Dundurn Press. I loved cooking pancakes for you and Gordon that one Sunday morning. Bless you dear Esther for always appreciating my music and for your kind heart and vibrant spirit. Esther and Bill were neighbours of my parents in Florida since the 80's, Bill being a business friend of my father. They took my mother under their wing after my father passed away and i will forever be grateful for Esthers generosity of spirit towards her. Esther was too young to be an Aunt and was more like an older sister to me and my son James. i will remember her ,not only fondly but with a whole in my heart that will take time to heal. Dear Esther, I wish I could have been there for you these last few months but she would have known how much she was loved and cherished. my sincere condolences to Gordon and her family. I was involved with the Canada Loves New York event for 9/11 and Esther was the driving force behind that successful Canadian effort backed by the Prime Minister of Canada and Greyhound Canada . She was our leader and she opened up the Canadian Hearts to all Americans. We all loved and respected her so much . Warren T. Delany
