Dr Truuvert was a guiding light in my professional life. She inspired me to become a pediatric dentist after undertaking her courses on Preventive Dentistry offered with Nina Burgess, a dietician. I was privileged to be an associate in her office, where I learned so much, during 1983-84 until I moved to London, Ontario, to teach at Western University Dental School. I remember her staff Christmas party that I attended, where she and Toni handed out gifts to those attending. I received a bottle of Sabra liqueur from Israel, which I remember so vividly as it was so thoughtful. She faced many challenges in life but her positive spirit was an inspiration to all. Condolences to her family

I send many many gentle hugs to Maret's family. I remember Maret very fondly, I was her associate dentist in the late 60's when her practice was adjacent to her home. To me, besides being an excellent mentor, Maret the the best of mothers: at breakfast, one of her sons had his oatmeal with herring! How Estonian and how amazing that a mother could encourage a young child to have such a healthy diet.

Our deepest condolences to the family.
We have been a part of the dental family from years ago when it was Dr. Truvert and Dr. Tuch and we still continue to go there even though we have retired up North.
She, and her staff, were amazingly compassionate and caring when I was terrified of dentists and made my experience a comfortable one.
A true pioneer and a lovely soul.
May she Rest In Peace.
Debby & Paul Psaila.

What a sad loss. I will always remember her gentleness when pulling out my daughters teeth when she was young. I'm not sure who was more sad me or her. She held my hand and walked me through it. Heart of gold. She was kind and so sweet and always with a smile. My condolences to her family. She will be missed.

Dr Truuvert I met in 1981 with my first son's dental appointment. She came highly recommended and I thank her for looking after all of my 3 children's teeth ..and I think even my father-in-law became one of her patients :-) ..such a rich life of service and love.

My sincere condolences to the family of Dr. Truuvert, who was my first dentist. She would always speak to me in Estonian to make sure I would never forget my Estonian heritage. She always made the visit to the dentist a pleasant experience, especially as a child. She was a kind soul. Allan Moks

Hi,
I am very saddened to hear of Dr Truuvert's passing. My mom Riet Raidl worked with her for many years at the Dentist Office on Bloor Street until she retired. They were very good friends and now they can rekindle that friendship at the big dentist office in heaven. I am sure she will tell Jesus to make sure he flosses...
She was always so friendly and I still say "I am going to Dr Truuvert's office" to my wife when i say I am going into the dentist office.
Our most sincere condolences,
Fred and Linda Raidl

My condolences to the family of Dr. Truuvert who was my teacher at the University of Toronto. I graduated in 1974, and I remember her as a gracious, calm, gentle person with a good sense of humour who was keenly interested in helping her students.

I am so saddened to hear of Maret’s passing. My sincere condolences to her entire family. She was my dentist from her early home office days until her retirement. She was always kind and professional and I had great respect for her. She knew my family and I enjoyed having Piret in my Brownie troup.

Maret was my beloved godmother. She was the woman that I admire the most in the world and I will miss asking for her advice and counsel. Such an inspirational person who never lost her wonderful smile, sense of humour and hopeful, cheery outlook although she had been dealt many terrible challenges during her life. Her family was her constant source of joy and blessings
and I am sure she will be missed. My family was very fortunate to have her enrich our lives for over 70 years…We want to express heartfelt condolences to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Arlene and I send our deepest condolences to all of Maret’s family and friends. Maret was an unforgettable presence in our lives, reaching out in so many ways. As Piret’s mother she was wonderfully kind and strong, and the bond between us grew and strengthened through times of grief and happiness. She remained vital and loving to the end and we so enjoyed being part of her circle and stopping at Grand Central Station. We shall always remember her and send much love especially to Trina and Kristen and all the family. Bob and Arlene
