Hi Jean and Jennifer (Jenny when we were kids!). My condolences to you both. I'm happy though that your mom (Aunt Maggie and my mom's sister) lived to such a ripe old age. I hope that she died peacefully. I remember her caring for Granny, in your home, as she was dying. I was relieved to know that Granny was under such good care. I also remember Christmas dinners at your home, when your mom and dad would make a delicious dinner. I will never forget how good their "rare roast beast" was!! Of course, I'm a vegetarian now, and shudder to think that I enjoyed eating such a thing, but, truth be told, I still savour the taste in my mind! I also remember, quite sadly, how one time your mom wouldn't let me have dessert because I didn't eat my mashed turnip (I think that's what it was). And dessert was meringues!!! Funny what we remember. Thank you for bringing your mom to my mom's service. That was the last time I saw her (your mom, that is). I won't be able to attend a service for your mom as I'm now living in BC, but please know that I will be thinking of you both as I am right now. (Cousin) Mary Beth

OMGoodness Mary Beth, you made me smile!! Thank you for your wonderful memories of mom. She spoke of your mom (my Aunt Mary) often in the past few years, usually she told us that she needed to go and meet her for dinner! Thank you so much for connecting and I hope you are well and happy in BC xx

My Dearest Jennifer and your sister Jean, I recall your great generation mum fondly from our India baby days, her zest for life made a lasting impact and that’s mainly what I remember from meeting her. I see now Jen, from those younger photos that you share the same smile, what a beautiful legacy. My thoughts and prayers are with you and I will keep the peanut butter as a cure for all ills with me in her memory, her sense of humour will live on. Much love Roszalie x
